Installing iPodLinux on your Nano

To compile mencoder in the terminal, navigate your way to the folder which contains the source code, downloadable from here...

..and type this:

./configure

Then type:

make

Then type:

make install

Drag and drop the files mencoder and mplayer into the hidden folder /usr/bin/

Then paste this line into terminal:

mencoder -ovc raw -ofps 15 -oac pcm -vf scale=176:-2,expand=176:132,format=bgr16 ipodhack.avi -o out.avi
